About
IT operations with a network-security focus.
Hiring managers do not need another generalist. They need someone who can speak TCP/IP and still close a ticket. I am positioning as an IT operations professional specializing in network security and infrastructure hardening — access control, segmentation, change control, and operational risk.
Most recently I was a mobile electronics technician: RF systems, component-level testing, diagnosis, and written quality checks before return to service. I trained coworkers on the method. Before that I ran the full lifecycle in GCSS-MC, an Oracle logistics ERP — service requests, parts, readiness, and closeout. That is systems work on the IT/OT boundary: find it, document it, verify it, hand it off.
I am enrolled part-time at Florida State College at Jacksonville in the A.S. Network Systems Technology program, the pathway into the B.A.S. in Information Systems Technology. This year the first filter credential is CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701). Next is Network+ / CCNA-level fluency so the security work sits on real networking, not a cert list. I use AI to research and draft. I still read the spec and check the result.
Electronics maintenance as a Marine Sergeant is context, not the pitch. What carries over is leadership: follow-through, a calm presence under pressure, and a team that could operate when I was not in the room. An A.S. in Diesel Technology is how I think about complex equipment — not a second career I am selling.
Direction.
Open to junior network security, network operations, IT operations, and systems support roles. Jacksonville on-site or remote. About 10% travel is fine.

Mobile Electronics Technician

- Diagnosed and repaired mobile and RF electronics, including component-level testing, then verified the repair against a quality standard before it returned to service.
- Wrote inspections and corrective actions so operations and leadership were looking at the same status — the same discipline as a change ticket.
- Kept work orders and reference material current so the job did not depend on one technician’s memory.
- Trained coworkers on procedures and test methods until they could run them without me.

- Led the shop: assigned work, trained junior technicians, and held a written standard so the team could operate without one person as the bottleneck.
- Ran the full lifecycle in GCSS-MC (Oracle logistics ERP): service requests, parts, readiness, and closeout — access, inventory, and change records on a live production system.
- Follow-through on communications and vehicle electronics. Work went back to the user only after it met the technical manual.
- Completed the 2841 pipeline at MCCES Twentynine Palms, including the Ground Radio Repair Course — electronics theory, RF systems, and shop operations.
